Small businesses and organizations need to consider digital communication as a crucial piece of their marketing strategy. For small businesses, this inclusion is more about telling your story and connecting with the community, than it is about selling product. People need to know what your business or organization stands for and that your values align with theirs. If no one is telling those stories, then I promise — you’re nothin more than a yellow page listing.
Don’t get me wrong — traditional communication is still very important. I read the Platteville Journal and listen to WGLR. I’m simply saying that digital communication is an essential piece of your marketing strategy that someone needs to manage on a daily basis.
